Topic: WHOM DO YOU CHOOSE TO SERVE, GOD, OR DEVIL?

Text: Jos 25:15, I Kings 16:21.

The Almighty God is to be served, worshipped, and honored. He created the Angels and Humans for this purpose but the problem now is that we have two masters God and the prince of this world (Devil) expecting our service. The honest question is who do you want to serve, is it God or the devil? The scripture makes it clear to us that we cannot serve two masters it is either you love one and despise the other (Matt. 6:24). If you are to serve God you cannot give him condition because you are a servant, you are meant to obey God and not to dictate for him. If you determine to serve God, serve him in total because if you do not serve God 100%, you will serve the devil 100%.

HOW TO CHOOSE GOD

* Seek the kingdom of God first- Matt 6:33.

* Total submission- Gal. 5:1

*Put God first

Set your affection on things above- Col 3:2

* Study the word of God- II Tim2:15

* Seek for his presence- Psalm 105:4

* Stop entertaining the flesh- Rom 13:14

*Decide to suffer with Christ- Acts 21:10-14

*Follow and do the will of God- Mark 3:35

* Get ready to forsake earthly things- I John 2:15

BENEFITS OF CHOOSING GOD.

* Sin will fight but will not overcome.

* God will reign in your life.

* Your labor will not be in vain.

* Hellfire will not have dominion over you. 

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT SERVING GOD.

i. Confusion

ii. Pains and sorrow

iii. Expiration with the world

iv. Eternal death with the worldly people

WHOM DO YOU CHOOSE TO END WITH? Deuteronomy 30:15.

Where did you want to spend your eternity HEAVEN OR HELL? Who do you agree on eternity with, God or the devil? (Amos 3:3). This is time to choose your eternal fate before it is too late because your decision now will determine your end.

It is who you choose that you will end with. Deuteronomy 30:19
