Topic: Be Ready for Tribulation
Text: Daniel 12:10-12; Mathew 24:29-31
The most dangerous hour of the Christian race is now! The devil is giving his agents power but the church is losing power. This is the time we ought to gather and increase in power, as the darkness of the tribulation is closer to us than our shadow. It is a pity however that the church still holds unto the doctrine of the Rapture before Tribulation. Come out of that ignorance and get your heart set on the Great Tribulation.
Great Tribulation before the Rapture
1. II Thess. 2:3 says the day of the Lord will not come until there be a falling away first and the revelation of the man of lawlessness.
2. He who restrains the antichrist (II Thess. 2:7) is not the Holy Spirit or the Rapture. The Bible does not say so. It is theology – the doctrine of men influenced by the kingdom of darkness.
3. The revelation of the son of perdition which is also called the Abomination of Desolation (Matt. 24:15; Dan. 9:27; Dan 12:11) is all about the reign of the antichrist.
4. In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus states that the Great Tribulation (Matt. 24:21,22) will usher in the Rapture.
5. The elect in Matt. 24:31 are not the children of Israel but the Christians. There is no promise of the Rapture for Israel but for the Church (I Thess. 4:16-17; I Cor. 15:52). And there are no two raptures but one. The remnant of Israel who is sealed in Rev. 7:1-4 will be regathered at Christ’s Second Coming, as the fulfillment of God’s promise for Israel (Rom. 9:27,29). The timing of the Rapture in Matt. 24:29-31 simply connotes Christians will go through the Great Tribulation.
6. Yes, God has not appointed the righteous (genuine Christians) to wrath (I Thess. 5:9), yet we shall make heaven through much tribulation (Acts 14:22); if we suffer, we shall reign with Him (II Tim. 2:12); and God will not avenge the blood of the already-dead martyrs until the rest of them are killed in the Great Tribulation (Rev. 6:9-11).
7. Preparation for eternal glory entails passing through the Great Tribulation, Rev. 7:9-17.
8. We, therefore, need revival to be set for what is about to befall us.
The Last Revival (Dan. 12:10a)
1. The last revival shall not be like other revivals the church has experienced in the past but it shall happen individually, not in mass gatherings like the former God shall work on His elect individually – purging them, restoring them, empowering them and making them qualified for heaven/the Rapture.
2. It is not the revival of miracles, signs, and wonders but of soul-winning for the rapture.
3. The last revival is already going on. God is working on His selected people across the world. Are you among them?
4. Are you personally experiencing revival and restoration? How is your prayer and holiness life? Are you growing in the Lord or getting worse?
5. Strive to be among the elect, watch and pray always that you may be accounted worthy, Luke 21:35-36.
Be Ready
Be ready: for the Great Tribulation, to lose your education, money, job, marriage/spouse/family, properties, torture of body by the antichrist, months of hunger and thirst without companionship, be ready to lose your life for Christ.
